For the fourth year in a row, the City of Ft. Worth hosted the Great Rescue Roundup at its historic Stockyards on October 4, 2014. Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy beautiful weather and visit vendor booths, eat delicious funnel cakes and other food, and meet and greet dozens of breeds of dogs (and a few cats, too). Attendees were even treated to the daily ritual of a longhorn cattle drive, right through the middle of the brick streets, and the little ones could have their pictures taken on the back of one of these giant steers.
North Texas Samoyed Rescue, Inc. was happy to have several of our own “Sambassadors” there, and they enjoyed being petted and hugged by young and old alike. It was a great opportunity for us to educate the public about our wonderful breed, and for them to see first-
